FRANCOIS PRETORIUS

Francois Pretorius is a South African graphic artist. He spent some recent years working in South Korea, and some less recent ones in the UK. He travelled quite a bit in Asia and survived the Pamplona Bull Run of 2003. He is the current manager of the NWU Creativity Centre in Potchefstroom (near Johannesburg).

He predominantly creates monochrome works in which elements of various international & African visual languages are fused to construct contemporary cross-cultural art as a point of departure for semi-autobiographical narratives within a multi- & intercultural urban sphere.
